MPVM Celebrates Republic Day

 

The students of Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir celebrated Republic Day on             26th January 2016 by presenting an assortment of programs.

The program commenced with the arrival of the guests of honour namely Mr. Aditya Kanoi, Mrs. Nisha Kanoi, Mr. Anurag Saraf and Mrs. Shiela Saraf. Hony. Secretary    Prof. Krishna Gupta, Sri Ravindra Gupta, Sri Madhukar Gune and Sri U.N. Mishra also graced the occasion. After the lighting of the lamp, the Secretary hoisted the flag. She along with the guests of honour and Principal MPVM., Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo witnessed the parade presented by the students of middle school.

Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo warmly welcomed all the guests of honour as well as the      Hon. Secretary Prof. Krishna Gupta. She spoke about the real meaning of freedom and a republic. She implored the youth to contribute actively to the ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ propounded by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and to reflect within themselves and achieve true freedom.

A melodious, patriotic group song was presented by students of the middle school.

A group of little girls gave an interesting presentation – how to enjoy staying fit since only a healthy person can contribute to the growth of the nation.

The ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ which is a very significant part of MPVM enrolls children from the deprived section of the society. On this occasion, the tiny tots from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan presented an action song which was applauded by everyone present there.

Lastly, a group of students came forward to present a powerful street play which mirrored the current problems our country is facing today. It was a reminder to wake up and act, to face the fact and be the change we want to see.

Hony. Secretary Prof. Krishna Gupta spoke to the students on the occasion. She expressed deep gratitude towards the freedom fighters, the politicians who framed the constitution and the army which is continuously protecting us. She appreciated the presentation of the children and expressed her happiness to see the changing attitude of the youth, their eagerness and aspirations.

The programme concluded with cheers of Jai Hind.
