                                                  Republic Day Celebration at MPVM 2017


Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir celebrated the 68th Republic Day in all its solemnity and grandeur in the school premises. After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Hon. Secretary, who attended the celebration in the capacity of the Chief Guest, unfurled the majestic tri-colour amidst the air of patriotic fervour and cheer that permeated school atmosphere.

It was followed by the march-past by the 5 houses and the NCC cadets who saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of the nation.

The school Principal, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo welcomed Hon. Secretary Krishna Gupta and Sri U.N. Mishra, the former Principal MPVM for being the torch bearers and guiding force behind the school’s progress and appreciated them for their positivity and enthusiastic approach. She also welcomed each and everyone who was the part of celebration. In her speech she reiterated on the various tasks to be undertaken by the present students who are the future citizens of the country. She made everyone realize that the energy zeal, vigour and enthusiasm that are behind the celebration should be imbibed by us and should be the life line of our each and every activity. Reminding the students about the sacrifices of those behind the Independent India, encouraged them to give true credit to those values that governed those national heroes. She appealed to them to treasure those values and thus contribute their bit towards the progress of the nation.

In the cultural presentation, the choir group presented the patriotic song ‘Hum Kare Rashtra Aaradhan’ that reverberated in the surroundings. It was followed by an inspiring speech by Shivani Bahuguna of Class X that highlighted the efforts of national leaders in building an independent republic nation. The enchanting Yoga presentation by Class V, VI & VII filled the school environment with ecstasy. The scintillating dance performance by Patanali Sarva Shiksha Vidyalya won the admiration and applause from everyone. Thereafter, Kavya Path by the inmates of Mahila Swavalamban Evam Prashikshan Kendra on ‘women empowerment’ gave everyone a food for thought. The exhibition put up by the children of Patanjali Sarva Shiksha Prarambhik Vidyalaya was indeed an effort to be encouraged that clearly reflected that proper channelization can render magical results. Hon. Secretary, Prof. Krishna Gupta also admired the Rangoli giving the message of ‘Anti Tobacco’ made by Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir students.

The head of the chain of Patanjali group of schools, Prof. Krishna Gupta spoke to the MPVM family about the sanctity of the occasion and the role played by the constitutional makers. Congratulating the MPVM family she said that the lofty ideals of Independence. Social Justice and Equality incorporated in the constitution have enabled us to establish ourselves as Republic. She said that India could prove successful amidst the challenges due to the moral courage and the zeal of the national leaders. In her address she said that being Independent is not merely confined to getting free from the shackles of slavery, it is responsibility and sacrifice. According to her, the battle of Republic shall continue until we are able to provide education, good health and employment. She said that awakening of the nation will take place when the privileged institutions like MPVM are ready to take up their responsible role in the society for the upliftment of the less fortunate by adopting Inclusive Education.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Neerja Singh Sr. Secondary Incharge. She thanked Hon. Secretary Prof. Krishna Gupta for being the inspiration in all our endeavors.

The celebration concluded with the singing of Vandematram. The children dispersed after getting the snacks with the image of the tri-colour glorified in their minds.
