Lokmanilal Awards 2015 given by Patanjali Group of Schools Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir Samiti celebrated its Annual Lokmanilal & Dayakanti Awards for Excellence in Education Ceremony with much grandeur and reverence amids the large august gathering that attended the felicitation ceremony from all over the country. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Justice Shri Chandrachud in the capacity of the Chief Guest, by Justice Pankaj Mittal as the Guests of Honour. The prestigious Lokmanilal Award for Excellence in Education was bestowed upon the dynamic School Leaders who have inextricably tied themselves to the cause of enriching the individual child’s personality and making significant contribution in the field of education. The deserving recipients of Excellence Award for Life Time Achievement were Mrs. Seetha Murthy Principal Silver Oaks, Hyderabad and Mr. Anupam Jagga Principal, Delhi Public School, Moradabad, Excellence Award for School Teaching in Secondary Classes and Primary Classes were bestowed upon Mrs. Gargi Dutta Biswas and Ms. Neeta Joshi respectively. The highly reputed jury selected Ms. Zammurad Begam Siddiqui (Shad) for the category of Excellence Award for Teaching Primary / Upper Primary / Secondary Classes in Rural Areas and Ms. Barkha Mohan for the category of Excellence Award for Teaching Economically Under Privileged Children / Women / Differently abled. The LML Award ceremony was conducted by the eversmiling & the multidimensionally gifted Principal, MPVM, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo. The Dayakanti Devi Award Ceremony was conducted by the soft spoken yet confident Principal Mrs. Alpona Dey. The proud recipients of the coveted Dayakanti Devi Awards were Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Agarwal & Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma from Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir, Mrs. Aradhana Tripathi and Mr. Alok Singh from MPVM - Gangagurukulam Ms. Suchita Srivastava from Patanjali Rishikul and Ms. Ranjana Srariastava Patanjali Nursery School. The most deserving recipient of Dayakanti Devi Award was the inspiring Mentor, Former Principal Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir and Director Academics Patanjali Group of Schools, Shri Udai Narayan Mishra. The students of Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir presented a spectacular culture show with a lofty theme ‘We shall heal the world”. The stage unfolded a panorama of colours through the wide variety of performances. The stirring rendering of Ragas, the sparkle & wit reflected in the effervescent acting in the play’. The Divine Hearts, the invigorating Ganesh Vandana, the verve and vivacity depicted in the dance performance ‘Unraveling of Krishna’, the soothing effect of young voices blent in harmony in the group song aroused divine against vibrations in the minds of onlookers and ensured the programm’s success. Nukkad Natak was yet another delightful treat that enthralled the audience with their thought provoking message. The release of the books ‘Udaan” and ‘Aprajita’ added to the glorious progress of the two projects of the Samiti ‘Patanjali Sarve Shiksha Prarambhik Vidyalya’ and Mahila Swawalamban Kendra reflecting the overall wellness, enthusiasm and mental focus of the children belonging to the underprivileged section of the society and exuding the confidence and self-esteem gained by the women of empowerment centre equipped to balance out the conflicts faced by them in the society. The valuable recipe for the nourishment of the personality of the youth provided by Hony. Secretary Prof. Krishna Gupta was a gratifying experience, given us her address which reflected tempered wisdom & appealed to the minds of the sensitive people present on the occasion. In her address she welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Guest of the event Hon’ble Justice Shri Chandrachud. She appreciated Hon’ble Justice D.Y. Chandrachud for his principles of justice, principles of virtues and moral courage in taking bold legal decisions. She praised Hon’ble Justice Pankaj Mittal for his sensitive handling of important public issues. She expressed her gratitude to the members of governing body for the motivation and support by their reassuring presence. She also welcomed the most deserving awardees, the gathering of learned educationists, the panel of judges, and media for the impartial selection of the awardees. She enlightened the audience with the vision of the Founder and his firm belief that only temples of learning can rejuvenate the nation. Talking about the inclusive education she humbly claimed cleared that the 2 projects of the vulnerable section of society are progressing steadily. To conclude, she resolved to rededicate herself to the mission of the Founder and take the Patanjali institutions further to the zoning of glory. The grandeur of the ceremony was enhanced by the reverent, presence of Shri O.P. Bagaria, President Patanjali Samiti. The educated audience was enriched by the valuable message by the Chief Justice who said he measured the ovation given to the teachers which any celebrity would get. He said that by honouring the teachers, we honour the teachers of our lives, and thanked the teachers’ community as a whole for their valuable contribution to the society. He fondly remembered his teachers & refresh his memory the school days. He symbolically explained how teachers give the right direction to the students through the ups and downs of life. He opined that Teachers’ role is becoming more & more significant because of the challenges the society is throwing. He appreciated the message conveyed through the cultural presentations. He spoke volumes about the students who were so full of optimism. He narrated the difference between the information and knowledge and said that teachers give knowledge and vision. He expressed his gratitude to his teachers for giving the sense of ethics and providing the moral campass to us for solving the vexing problems faced as judges. His anecdotes exhibited his wit, intelligence and excellent communicative skills. He adviced the youth to become capable enough to choose the right path of life from the various roads that diverge and tempt us. Our life is enriched by the fusion of identity and culture that depict true India. He conveyed the message to the educationists not to cast individuals in one mould but as product of multiple identities. He appealed to the teachers to respect the dignity of individual and affirmed his belief that it is not only the students but teachers also transform themselves when. He expressed his happiness on being a part of the mega celebration as Patanjali group of schools are making a valuable contributions in the field of education. Hon’ble Justice Pankaj Mittal said that this eventful day marks festivity as the celebration is for a noble cause of honouring the teachers. He highlighted the importance of Yoga and appreciated the wise selection of naming the school after the famous Yoga exponent Maharshi Patanjali. He said that selfless roles of the teachers in shaping the destiny of the children is extremely important. Good teachers care about the students in classroom whereas a great teachers care about their performance in life. He stressed on laying the strong foundations of students which can be made only by making investment on teachers rather than the students. He gave a food for thought by appealing to the policy makes of education to set the priorities for getting the best results. The hearts of the elite and distinguished gathering were illumined by the address made by the women of substance, the recipient of Excellence Award for Life Time Achievement, Mrs. Seetha Murthy. In her address, she expressed her gratitude to the Founder’s vision, to the management of the Patanjali Group of Schools & the jury, according to her ships are not made for harbor but for sail. The vigorous and vivacious, the recipient of Excellence Award for Life Time Achievement, Mr. Anupam Jagga thanked the jury members and acknowledged that this prestigious award has elevated him to a higher platform. He said that students coming out of the schools should be equipped with all qualities that make responsible future leaders. According to him the qualities of confidence should be inculcated in them so that they prove themselves to be worthy citizens in the coming years. They appreciated the performance of the children and said that the programme spoke about the high standard of the school. Shri U.N. Mishra, in his address acknowledged his happiness for being a part of the institution and cited the contribution of Hony. Secretary Prof. Krishna Gupta in taking the school to this height of success. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Monika Dutta, Principal Patanjali Rishikul. She expressed her gratitude to the learned audience, the distinguished guests, members of governing body for being a part of the celebration.
