MPVM Celebrates Investiture Ceremony-----> August 5, 2017 witnessed a solemn assembly of young students of Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir at the temple area of the school with their hearts filled with fervour and zeal. They awaited with bated breath for the ceremony to begin. The day was one of the most memorable days of their lives as they were sworn in as the new office bearers for the academic session 2017-18. At exactly 9 O’ clock the ceremony began with an inspirational song ‘Lakshya na ojhal hone paye, kadam mila kar chal’ by the school choir which was followed by the welcome address by Tanvi Mathur of class 9 E. The event continued with the handing over of the School Flag by the Principal, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo to the new Head Boy - Archit Mishra of class XII A3 and the Head Girl – Khushi Yadav of class XII A3. Simultaneously, the house flags were handed over to the new House Captains by the former House Captains. The former office bearers were appreciated for their excellent service and awarded with Appreciation Certificates by the Principal. The Principal then proceeded to pin the badge to the Head Boy - Archit Mishra, the Head Girl -Khushi Yadav, the Associate Head Boy - Naman Dwivedi, the Associate Head Girl – Harshita Singh, the Sports Captain - Aditi Eva, the Head Prefect – Ashutosh Tiwari and the House Captains. On behalf of the entire team of Office Bearers, the Head Girl took the oath. The new office bearers promised to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity, honesty, loyalty and dedication. They also promised to maintain discipline and decorum, and to provide all assistance to facilitate the smooth running of the school. The former Head Girl Rupali Srivastava then shared her experience and said that it had been a very wonderful period of her life as she got opportunities to serve her school. She thanked the Principal and the teachers for believing in the team of office bearers and being supportive throughout the session. In her address, the Principal congratulated the new post holders and infused encouragement through her ever inspiring words to the new student leaders. She reminded them of the seriousness of the oath they had just taken and of the heavy responsibilities which were synonymous with it. She pressed upon them to become beacons of light for a bright future of the country and to be the role models to their juniors. This auspicious day concluded with the National Anthem.
