Maharishi Patanjali Celebrates Vigilance Week------------> Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir along with its students and staff celebrated the Vigilance Week from 29th October to 3rd November, 2014. The celebrations took place according to the CBSE instruction as well as that of the Indian Vigilance Commission for honouring and celebrating the birth anniversary of late Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel. This week also aimed at honouring the life and works of Sardar Patel towards the integration of our country and helping students inculcate a sense of integrity, vigilance and use of diplomatic means in their social life. While the whole of school observed this week, students of class 6 to 8 wrote different slogans on the topic ‘Root out Corruption before it roots in you’ and also debated on ‘e-ticketing has been effective in reducing corruption from booking system’. Students of classes 9 & 10 were given a detailed lecture by an eminent personality Mrs. Rajlaxmi Walia on ‘How e-judiciary has helped in making court proceedings more transparent’. Students of classes 11 & 12 participated in a seminar based on ‘Effectiveness of e-taxation in making the system more transparent and efficient’ and they also debated on ‘e-Governance a way to smooth governance’. These activities took place in the school’s auditorium and were attended by students, teachers and the Principal of the school, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo who appreciated students for their active participation and also encouraged them by announcing the names of the winners.
