Vigilance Awareness Week in MPVM Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir celebrated ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ with vigour and enthusiasm from 31st October 2017 to 3rd November 2017 on the theme “My Vision – Corruption Free India”. Vigilance Week is celebrated every year to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life. Central Vigilance Commission organizes Vigilance Week every year in the last week of October to coincide this week with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October to remember his remarkable deeds for India. Under the given theme “My Vision Corruption Free India” MPVM scheduled various activities proposed by Central Vigilance Commission, where students came up with their innovative ideas and great imagination. The first and foremost activity was ‘Integrity Pledge Observation’ which was conducted on 31st October 2017 by all, including teachers and students of the school to encourage everyone to fight against corruption. On second day i.e. 1st November 2017 students of classes 5 and 6 participated in a cartoon making competition and showcased their ways of preventing corruption in India. On the same day the students of classes 7th and 8th had their activity of slogan writing where in they came up with many beautiful slogans on the topic “Corruption Free India”. On 2nd November some other proposed activities were elicited by the students of class 9th and 10th respectively like “Elocution (9th) and Essay Writing (10th)” where the harbingers of young India showcased their aware minds and thoughts. Class 9th students spoke on “How Value Education” can contribute to prevent corruption. On 3rd November the students of class XI with zeal and gesture presented their views in the Debate activity. Their awakened minds and candid thought to prevent corruption were praised by one and all. Thus the Vigilance Awareness Week in MPVM had been a great success as it rooted amongst the students, the values and inspired them to be better and aware young citizens of India. In all the activities, the presence of the Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo filled each activity with enthusiasm and energy as her ever motivating words inspired and stirred students’ talent and nationalism. She appreciated and congratulated the students for their wonderful participation and appealed students to be worthy citizens of our country.
