MPVM Family Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti 2017
India’s 3rd national festival ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ was celebrated on 2nd October, 2017 at Radha Krishnan Hall where the MPVM family paid its tribute to the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi and the second Prime Minister of the country Sri Lal Bahadur Shashtri on their birth anniversary.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portraits of the two great Indian patriots by the Honorary Secretary Pro. Krishna Gupta, Smt. Kiran Kochar(Principal of Patanjali Nursery School) and Smt. Monika Dutt (Principal of Patanjali Rishikul).
‘Vaishnavjan to tene kahiye je’ a hymn, which was very close to Gandhi ji’s heart was presented by a group of students of MPVM. Manas Chaurasiya of class 10 (MPVM) mesmerised the audience by playing a melodious tune on the flute. His marvellous performance was appreciated by one and all present in the auditorium. Enhancing the joy, a heart touching ‘Medley of songs’ was presented by the students of Patanjali Rishikul followed by a dance drama ‘Gandhi Ek Vichardhara’ which introduced the audience with the great eternal philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. A bhajan presented by Ravikant Chaubey and Srikant Choubey filled the hearts of the assembly with divine love. A beautiful poem, dedicated to Sri lal Bahadur Shadhtri, was recited by Shivam Yadav of Panatjali Rishikul .
On this auspicious day, Prof. Krishna Gupta addressed the gathering and told many inspiring incidents related to the lives of the two great Indian leaders. She urged everyone to follow the path which the two great souls trod. The treasurer Sri Ravindra Gupta and the Director Sri Madhukar Gune appreciated the effort of the students and asked them to imbibe the teachings of the great leaders.
The programme concluded with the ‘Ramdhun’ which was sung by everyone present and a vote of thanks given by Smt. Monika Dutt .
