MPVM Organizes ‘Bal Mela’ on Children’s Day
Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir celebrated Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s birthday with great pomp and show in the school campus by organizing Bal Mela on 14th November, 2017, which fascinated the hearts of the children and the guests present. The school resounded with the cheerful voices of the children. It bore a festive look with colourful stalls and children dressed in vivid attires.
The Hony. Secretry Prof. Krishna Gupta, Former Director Sri U.N. Mishra were the chief guests.
The fete was formally inaugurated by Prof. Krishna Gupta and Shri U.N. Mishra with the holy sound of conch shell. The Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo wished the children warmly. She told them that enjoyment comes with responsibility. She also reminded them about the principles of Pt. Nehru and told them to take inspiration from his life.
Prof. Krishna Gupta gave the children heartfelt warm wishes and blessed them.
An arrary of stalls with mouth-watering food items and exciting games were the main attraction of the fete. The teachers had put up many stalls for games which included ‘Feed the Joker, Spoon in glass, Hit the Bull’s eye, Wheels on Track and many other interesting and exciting games.
The most entertaining stall of the day was the music corner. The rock music enthralled the students. They were so mesmerized that they started dancing and tapping their feet. There were a variety of eatables to tantalize the taste buds right from Pav Bhaji, Katori Chat, Chola Bhatura and Pizza. There was a stall of ‘Coffee with your favourite teacher, which the children enjoyed very much.
The city’s popular RJ Govind of Red FM also visited the school and had a great fun time with them. The fete was a successful show and it was a fun-filled day with great zeal and enthusiasm for the students and the staff.
On this occasion lucky draw was held for the students. Aishwarya of class 8-A won the first prize, Mohan of class 7-B won the second prize and Akshita of class 6-B secured the third prize. Prizes were awarded to the best decorated stalls. The winners in the games stalls were as follows - First ‘Blow and Win, Second Jacob’s Ball and Third Wheels on Track. In the eatable stalls Cake and Patties stall secured the first position, Second Coffee Stall and Third prize was bagged by Pizza Stall.
