Labour Day Celebrated at MPVM
Labour Day, also known as May day, is celebrated worldwide on the 1st of May, to celebrate the achievements of the workers and to commemorate the power of hard work. Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir also celebrated the day to acknowledge the hardwork and dedication of its support staff. The programme commenced by welcoming the support staff by the students who applied Tilak on their forehead.
The students of Class X presented a heart touching programme. Khushi Tripathi of Class X recited a poem ‘Dhoop Mein Vah Jhulasta, Mathe Pasina Bah Raha’ which highlighted the simplicity and satisfaction of the labours who do their best to make things easier for others.
A street play ‘Gar Ye Na Hote’ depicted the importance of the support staff, with whom their workplace would not run smoothly.
A group song ‘Isliye raah sangharsh ki hum chune’ was melodiously rendered by the school choir.
The Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo, praised and appreciated the efforts of the support staff and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to them.
Mr. Jawahar Sharma the ‘Biology Lab Assistant’, on behalf of the entire support staff, thanked the Principal and the teachers for their love & support.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
