Maharshi Patanjali has crossed another milestone and has ventured forward to adopt yet another lofty project ‘Each one, Reach one, Teach one’ contributing for national upliftment by joining hands with Rotary Club to promote Adult Literacy.
A seminar was conducted for Classes 8 & 9 in which approximately 800 students were sensitized towards this noble cause and were encouraged to contribute their bit for the less fortunate section of the society. Rotary Allahabad which has adopted the mission of achieving cent percent literacy has worked on the Methodology & Teaching material to eradicate ‘Adult Illiteracy’. The students of MPVM have made ‘Global Dream’ of Rotary as ‘MPVM’s Dream’ and shall adopt the adults from nearby vicinities as their summer holiday projects for which they shall be given due weightage in their co-scholastic activities. The students shall play the role of catalysts as they transform the dreams to realty by adopting ‘Each one, Reach one, Teach one’. MPVM has already contributed her bit to the society towards Nation Building through its 2 social projects ‘Sarva Shiksha’ and ‘Mahila Swavalamban’.
The session was a package of thought-provoking and eye-opening power point presentations on the deprived section of the society who are willing to receive education but are helpless. The entire session was motivating which ignited the spark in the minds and hearts of the students who firmly resolved to adopt the project and carry it forward to achieve the target.
Mrs. Neerja Singh, Incharge Secondary Section, in her address highlighted the importance of education and briefed about the methodology of teaching concerning the project. Mrs. Aradhana Mishra, from Ganga Gurukulam explained to the students the details about the project and explained with utmost clarity as to how to go about the project and implement it. The details regarding the tool-kit, imparting of education, conducting the exams etc were explained to the students.
Rotarian Arvind Agarwal President Rotary Club who is spearheading this project gave an interesting presentation before the students which was carried along with interactive session and a question answer session with the students who are going to implement the project.
Principal, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo addressed the students at the end of the session. She proposed the vote of thanks and suggested ways to overcome the hindrances that the students may face while implementing the project. Through her life time experiences, she encouraged them to find innovative ideas to carry forward the mission as they are equipped with tool-kits which were not present during her time when they had to create their own teaching material. She showed her confidence in them that they would actively carry this global project forward and transcend this dream into reality.
Prof. Krishna Gupta, Hony. Secretary of MPVM Samiti in her Dialogue with the students asked them about the problems our nation is facing and offered education to be the only solution to eradicate various social evils degenarating the society. She inspired them to be active learners and contributors and showed her confidence in them. She further said that they can make a world of difference in the social, cultural & ethical setup of the existing society & thereby reflect the ethos of MPVM. She appreciated the efforts of Rotary Club whose motto is ‘Service before Self’ in collaboration with ‘Devi Sansthan’.
